We would like to thank you for your interest in supporting Technovation[MN]. We strongly value our collaborative partnerships with companies and individuals who share our vision. We know that today’s teenage girls are the next generation of entrepreneurs, and teaching them to program multiplies their power in the marketplace. We are working to close the gender gap in computer science by teaching girls how to code and how to be successful entrepreneurs.
We are seeking and welcome charitable donations in any amount. As a key program of Code Savvy, a 502(c)(3) organization, these donations are tax deductible. We also welcome sponsorships for the App Day events and for the Appapalooza, our state pitch event. Sponsorships are available in $500, $1,000 $2500, $5000 or $10,000 amounts and include various levels of: visibility at these events, inclusion in marketing materials, social media publicity, and linked logos on Technovationmn.org.

Three-hour events where young women between the ages of 10-18 have the opportunity to learn MIT App Inventor and build several mobile apps. Visit @technovationmn to see photos of our most recent event.
A global entrepreneurship program that inspires and enables teen girls to dream up, design, code and pitch mobile phone apps. This 12-week guided curriculum includes design, marketing, coding and business planning, organized around creating a novel mobile app to meet a local need. Working with professional mentors, all-girl teams develop a real-world combination of technical and entrepreneurial skills. More than 100 teams of teenage girls worldwide participate in the Challenge. Now in its fifth year, the Challenge was created by the nonprofit organization Iridescent and is brought to Minnesota by Code Savvy. Participating in the Challenge is free for the girls, thanks to our volunteers, mentors, and our generous donors and sponsors.
Appapalooza is a celebratory event to congratulate all Minnesota Technovation Challenge teams on completing the 12-week curriculum and submitting their work into the global competition. All Minnesota teams will do a 7-minute ‘pitch’ and demonstrate their app. We had a full house in 2015 with over 400 attendees, DJ, photo booth and prizes for each participant.
Top teams are then flown to Silicon Valley to present to real venture capitalists; the grand prize is $5000-$10,000 and help commercializing the team’s app.
We are also looking for in-kind partners to help with various aspects of running a non-profit like branding, printing, gathering sponsorships, technology, event planning, and more.
