Meet the Ambassadors

Once a Technovation[MN] Challenge participant has been through the program and understands all of the ins and outs, they’re invited to become an Ambassador. Through this Alumni program, the girls are able to give back to their community and help other girls who are just getting started on their development journey. 

Today, we’d like to introduce you to the newest members of our Ambassador team! 

Anushka Chaudhari

Ambassador: Anushka Chaudhari

Bio: I am a senior at Eastview High School in Apple Valley, MN. I have been a competitor in Technovation since 7th grade, and started my own division of Technovation at Eastview High School.

When I am not focused on my academics, I love to play the piano and flute. I love to dance and spend time with my friends and family. I also love Tae Kwon Do, which I have been doing for eight years. I also love to read young adult novels and watch movies.

Tech advice: When you get frustrated with coding, don’t take it out on the computer or your peers. 

Advice to participants: Keep persevering in the season. You are supposed to face setbacks and challenges in the season, and how you overcome them is the most important part of this competition.

What would you want to be remembered for: My dedication to what I am passionate about and how much I have helped others.

Ilsa Olsen

Ambassador: Ilsa Olsen

Bio: I am currently a junior at Northeastern University in Boston, MA majoring in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Business. Outside of school I enjoy reading, watching sports and creating art, mainly watercolor and acrylic painting. 

After college I hope to work for a biotech startup combining my interests in both engineering and business. I have been an intern with Code Savvy since May of 2020 and am excited to be part of the first set of Technovation[MN] student ambassadors!

Kirthi Manivannan

Ambassador: Kirthi Manivannan

Bio: I am a Senior at Century High School in Rochester, MN. I’ve been involved in Technovation since I was in 8th grade and have participated in appapalooza for 2 years. Now I work as a student ambassador for Technovation Girls Global and a Board Committee Member of Technovation [MN]

Advice to participants: When forming your team, make sure your teammates all have complementary skills so building the app becomes an easier task

What would you like to be remembered for?: My work with middle school girls through my organization called The Wallet Project, and my motive to empower women in underrepresented fields.

Thanishka Shetty

Ambassador: Thanishka Shetty

Bio: I’m in 9th grade. I go to Mounds View High School. Some of my interests are coding, dance, singing, and business.

Tech Advice: You should always hold yourself to the standard of the person you want to be.

Advice to participants: “Failure is the stepping stone for success. If something goes wrong with your app, your AI or the business side of your project, don’t give up. Take a break, and then start over from the step where everything was fine. Everything will go great!”

What would you like to be remembered for?: For my good work 🙂
