Technovation Girls Semi-Finalists named; CASP Technologies is named one of 12 Finalists!

Congratulations to the nine Technovation[MN] teams who made it to the semi-final round of the 2021 Technovation Girls global challenge. They were chosen from 1700 submissions across 60 countries.

In a pandemic year, nothing has quite been the same and the Technovation challenges are no exception. Local winners from the Minnesota chapter did not automatically advance as in past non-pandemic years. For a full list of local winners, please see Appapalooza 2021 Pitch Winners. The semi-finalists below created technology that rose to the top among 1700 apps across the world! We are so proud of them.

One team, CASP Technologies, was honored as one of only twelve finalists in the competition. CASP technologies created an application called Operation Serenity. Operation Serenity is an Android application that taps into a market to reduce anxiety in pediatric patients aged 8-15 by harnessing kid-friendly images and surgical sounds of general surgery procedures and displaying them in a step-by-step manner that both educates and engages pediatric surgery patients. Operation Serenity also helps pediatric patients to reduce stress by informing them of fun local events and activities. CASP Technologies will get the opportunity to pitch at the Technovation World Summit in August. You BELIEVED you could and you certainly DID! Best of luck to you at the World Summit!
