Technovation[MN] is a chapter of the global Technovation community and a key program of Code Savvy.
The goal of Technovation is to close the gender gap in computer science by inspiring and educating girls and young women on entrepreneurship, design and engineering in a fun and supportive environment. Technovation provides a 12 week program that challenges teams to create mobile applications that solve problems within each team’s community. The girls learn how to identify problems, validate their ideas through market research, and engineer applications using AppInventor. At the end of the program, regional winners attend the global competition in San Francisco.
If you are passionate about bringing women into the tech industry, please consider volunteering or donating to Technovation[MN]!
Technovation[MN] is looking for schools and teachers to integrate the program, mentors to teach the business/technical development curriculum, and sponsors that can provide financial support for the program. All donations are tax-deductible and would include visibility at events, inclusion in marketing materials, and social media publicity. Become a part of the movement that empowers young women to be excited about technology, and the impact that their creativity and ingenuity can have on the world.
For the young women in Middle and High School, join a team! Rally together your friends, find a teacher as your coach, and form your team.
Hurry! The next program begins in January!
